Perseids

8/12/23 - Our first Perseids together was kind of like our third date. It was such a great night; After work we went out on the golf course and watched for meteors. We saw some good ones, and we also talked all night. Literally all night. I came over at like 11:30pm, and then while we were talking you noticed the moon was getting rather bright. I agreed, then said, "That's not the moon, that's the sun!" I checked my phone and it was suddenly 6am. Man did the time fly. So we went inside, took a nap together on the couch, and then went to the end of summer bbq at David's. This was the birth of our annual Perseids outing, in honor of the first accidental. I look forward to our future of chasing the Perseids.

8/11/24 - Our second Perseids was amazing too. We went out to the Ouachita Mountains and watched the meteors there. On the way out there, we picked up a dozen Texas Roadhouse rolls and a dominoes pizza to snack on. We even got to see a slight flare up of Aurora Borealis! We didn't stay out all night, but it was still late. And we can't forget the infamous "raw, unfiltered dookie smell". You had been constipated and didn't feel well, but you had to poop while we were out there, so I held your hand to help balance you while you squatted. Definitely your stinkiest spooky dooky ever, but what a great moment to share and laugh about.
